Job summary

ABEC is seeking an Applications Engineer to develop technical solutions for global biopharma manufacturing customers. You will bridge customers with Sales, Engineering, Product Management, and Operations to turn complex challenges into customized, money-saving solutions.

You’ll prepare proposals, support product launches, and travel globally up to 30% while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure customer success and business growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or science is required.
• 5+ years in biopharma capital equipment, bioprocess engineering, applications engineering, equipment design, or product management.
• Knowledge of bioprocess equipment (SUS, bioreactors/fermenters, mixing, filtration, chromatography) and cGMP manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical and commercial proposals for biopharma manufacturing solutions.
• Interpret customer requirements and recommend optimal process and equipment solutions.
• Generate budgetary and definitive cost estimates, pricing, and proposals.
• Serve as a technical expert supporting customer meetings, presentations, and sales opportunities.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Automation, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, and Project Management teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.
• Review purchase orders and contracts for technical and commercial alignment.
• Support product launches, sales training, and marketing initiatives.
• Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and project performance.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.
• Travel globally up to 30%.
