Job summary

Eurofins Scientific in Ireland is seeking a BioAssay Analyst to carry out analytical and bioassay testing in line with pharmacopeial and Eurofins quality standards, generating, interpreting and reviewing data to support release and stability testing.

The role involves managing sample receipt, tracking, maintaining SOPs, troubleshooting technical challenges and training colleagues, with biweekly rotating shift pattern on site at client facility.

Qualifications

• You will hold a degree or equivalent qualification in a scientific discipline and have experience working within a laboratory environment, preferably GMP-regulated.
• You will have practical knowledge of analytical techniques including HPLC, Capillary SDS, Capillary IEF, ELISA, UV, pH, turbidity and particulate analysis.
• You will have experience with laboratory systems and software, including LIMS platforms, and maintain accurate laboratory records.
• You will have strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to generate high-quality data and documentation.
• You will possess analytical and problem-solving skills, and be able to troubleshoot laboratory issues and improve processes.
• You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work within a collaborative Eurofins team.

Responsibilities

• You will perform analytical and bioassay testing in line with pharmacopeial, regulatory and Eurofins quality standards, generating, interpreting and reviewing data to support release and stability testing.
• You will manage receipt, distribution and tracking of samples across the laboratory with accurate documentation.
• You will maintain expertise in analytical techniques, keep SOPs up to date, and contribute to procedures and reports.
• You will support operation of the laboratory by ensuring proper use, calibration and maintenance of equipment, adhering to health, safety and quality requirements.
• You will investigate deviations and out-of-specification results and communicate recommendations for process improvements.
• You will train and support colleagues and provide cover across the team, working flexibly to meet client requirements.
