We have exciting opportunity for a BIM Lead to join Suir Engineering Ltd for a Data Center project in Europe. This role is based out of our Citywest office on a hybrid model.

Role Overview
The BIM Lead will be responsible for leading the implementation, coordination, and delivery of Building Information Modelling (BIM) across multiple Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) projects. The role ensures that BIM processes, standards, and digital workflows are consistently applied throughout the project lifecycle, supporting high-quality design coordination, efficient project delivery, and successful handover. This role will report to the BIM Manager & Site Project Manager.
Working closely with project teams, clients, consultants, subcontractors, and the wider Digital Engineering team, the BIM Lead drives innovation, standardisation, and continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with industry standards, client requirements, and company procedures.
Key Responsibilities
BIM Leadership
- Lead the BIM delivery strategy across multiple MEP projects.
- Develop and implement BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) in accordance with client and project requirements.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 19650 standards and company BIM procedures.
- Promote best practices in digital engineering throughout the business.
- Mentor, coach, and develop BIM Coordinators and BIM Technicians.
Project Delivery
- Oversee BIM coordination for mechanical & electrical.
- Manage multidisciplinary model federation and clash detection processes.
- Coordinate with consultants, architects, structural engineers, and other project stakeholders.
- Monitor BIM deliverables, ensuring projects meet programme milestones and quality standards.
- Support Design Managers and Project Managers with digital coordination activities.
- Review models for constructability, coordination, and installation efficiency.
- Facilitate model-based coordination meetings and track issue resolution.
Digital Engineering
- Drive the use of BIM for prefabrication, modular construction, quantity take-off, logistics planning, and construction sequencing.
- Promote the use of Common Data Environments (CDE) for document and model management.
- Develop workflows that improve project efficiency and reduce rework.
Quality Assurance
- Establish model auditing procedures.
- Perform regular quality checks to ensure compliance with:
- Project BIM standards
- Client BIM requirements
- ISO 19650
- Company modelling standards
- Ensure models achieve the required Level of Information Need (LOIN) and Level of Development (LOD) at each project stage.
Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary BIM contact for project teams and clients.
- Attend BIM coordination meetings with consultants and client representatives.
- Support project tenders by developing BIM strategies and digital execution proposals.
- Build collaborative relationships across all project disciplines.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve digital delivery processes.
- Evaluate new BIM technologies and software solutions.
- Develop BIM standards, templates, libraries, and workflows.
- Deliver internal BIM training and knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Support company-wide digital transformation initiatives.

Qualifications
- Degree or Higher Diploma in Engineering, Building Services, Construction Technology, Architectural Technology, or a related discipline.
- 7+ years' experience in BIM within construction or MEP contracting.
- Minimum 3 years leading BIM teams on large-scale construction projects.
Experience
- Proven experience delivering BIM on large commercial, pharmaceutical, data centre, healthcare, industrial, or advanced technology projects.
- Experience working within an MEP contracting environment.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing and installation methodologies.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary coordination across complex projects.
- Demonstrated success implementing BIM standards across multiple concurrent projects.
