Job summary

Dalata Hotel Group plc is seeking a bartender to join our team in Ireland. You will receive training through the Dalata Academy and have opportunities to grow within the company. The role emphasizes friendly service, knowledge of the full beverage menu, and upselling to maximise revenue.

Previous hotel experience in a 3/4-star property is desirable, with experience in fast-paced environments and strong English communication skills. Dalata promotes from within and supports career development.

Qualifications

• Fluent English and strong communication are essential.
• Experience in a hotel or high-volume F&B environment desirable.
• Experience using Micros point-of-sale system preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet Regular guests by name and ensure a welcoming atmosphere.
• Maintain knowledge of food, beverages, and wine; make recommendations when helpful.
• Be friendly, courteous and professional at all times.
• Upsell and maximise sales revenue whenever possible.

Your Job:

• Regular guests are known and greeted accordingly, using their names.
• Ensure a good working knowledge of food, all beverages and wine. Be able to make recommendations.
• Be friendly, courteous and professional at all times.
• Upsell and maximise sales revenue whenever and wherever possible.

What You’ll Need:

• Previous hotel experience in a 3/4-star hotel property is desired but not essential.
• Previous experience in a high-volume/fast-paced environment.
• Previous experience in a busy food and beverage operation
• Fluent English and excellent communication skills.
• Micros Experience would be preferable.
