Talbot Hotel Clonmel is recruiting for Bar Tenders (full & part time). The role focuses on friendly, efficient service in our food and beverage areas, delivering excellence as an ambassador of the Talbot Collection.

You will greet guests, know the menu, take orders, and ensure accuracy in tills and communications with the kitchen and bar. Weekend work and flexible shifts are required.

Qualifications

• Friendly and professional work attitude.
• Fluent English essential—written and spoken.
• Must be available to work variable shifts.
• Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
• Previous experience in a similar role would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Greeting and seating of customers.
• Ensure staff knowledge of menus, beverages, and service standards.
• Take orders accurately and service them efficiently.
• Monitor staff on duty to ensure duties are carried out.
• Maintain a high standard of service and attention to detail.
• Respond to guests' requests promptly and deliver exceptional service.
• Be familiar with the menu to answer questions.
• Take food and beverage orders and communicate to kitchen and bar.
• Ensure orders are input in tills and charged correctly.
• Ensure no open checks at end of shift.

Talbot Hotel Clonmel part of the Talbot Collection are currently recruiting for Bar Tenders (full & part time)

Overall Job Purpose

To provide a friendly and efficient service within the food and beverage areas. To deliver exceptional friendly service at all times, to every guest, in line with the Talbot Collection 'Empower Your Excellence' customer service program. To be respectful, polite, friendly, and unfailingly helpful in all your dealings with guests and colleagues alike, recognising that you are an 'ambassador' of the Talbot Collection at all times.

Role Specific Duties

• Greeting and seating of customers.
• To ensure all staff have sufficient knowledge of menus, beverages, and service standards and to identify any training needs in relation to these areas.
• Ensure all orders are taken accurately and serviced efficiently.
• To control and monitor all staff on duty ensuring all duties are being fully carried out in accordance with Company Procedures.
• To ensure a high standard of service and attention to detail within the hotel/your department.
• Ensure that all guests' requests and queries are responded to promptly and effectively and an exceptional service is always delivered to guests.
• Be familiar with the menu and as much information about the food and beverage offering available to answer any questions guests may have.
• Take food and beverage orders and ensure that orders are communicated to the kitchen and bar promptly and accurately.
• Ensure that all food and beverage orders are imputed in the tills and are being charged correctly.
• To ensure there are no open checks at the end of the shift.

The successful candidate will have
