Muckross Park Hotel & Spa in Killarney National Park, a 5-star luxury property, seeks an energetic Assistant Banqueting Manager to support Conference & Banqueting operations. You will lead weddings, private events, conferences, and corporate functions, working closely with F&B management and other departments.

The role demands strong leadership, a hands-on approach, and a passion for hospitality, delivering five-star service under pressure and ensuring flawless event execution.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory or assistant management experience in Conference & Banqueting or Food & Beverage.
• Proven leadership skills with a passion for developing teams.
• Excellent communication and organisational ability.
• Proactive, hands-on approach and genuine hospitality passion.
• Ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining exceptional service.

Responsibilities

• Support the Bar and Events Manager in the daily running of all C&B operations.
• Lead, train, motivate, and mentor the C&B team to deliver five-star service.
• Oversee set-up, service, and breakdown of conferences, meetings, weddings, and banquets.
• Ensure events are executed to the highest brand, service, and safety standards.
• Liaise with Events, Sales, F&B, and Kitchen teams for flawless coordination.
• Assist with duty management responsibilities as required.
• Manage stock control, ordering, and cost efficiencies within the department.
• Handle guest queries quickly and professionally, ensuring memorable experiences.
