Job summary

Primus Connect in Dublin is seeking a hands-on backend developer to build robust Azure-based services and APIs for high-volume environments. You will design, implement and scale cloud-native solutions using Azure Functions, App Service and SQL/NoSQL databases.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong experience in back-end web applications and services.
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Azure and cloud-native development.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, integrations and microservices/systems.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (SQL Server, MySQL, Azure SQL).
• Experience with Git and modern source-control workflows.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience building and deploying scalable web apps.
• Strong testing and software dev best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable back-end services using Microsoft Azure.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and services for web and mobile apps.
• Design and work with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Develop cloud-native solutions using Azure Functions, App Service, SQL and Service Bus.
• Write clean, tested code and maintain unit tests.
• Contribute to design decisions and code reviews.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines and GitHub workflows.
• Collaborate with developers, designers and stakeholders across delivery.
