Job summary

FindingVega in Ireland is seeking an experienced backend developer to design and build the core services powering its data-processing SAAS platform. You will work on distributed systems, data pipelines and integration layers within a modern Java stack, with strong ownership from day one and clear progression paths.

The role emphasizes collaboration with product and frontend teams, leveraging Spring Boot and cloud-native AWS/Kubernetes expertise, and contributing to frontend work when needed

Qualifications

• 3+ years backend development experience, ideally with Java as your primary language.
• Strong knowledge of Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
• Experienced working in cloud-native environments (AWS, Kubernetes etc).
• Happy to contribute to the frontend when needed (Nextjs / React).
• Comfortable building scalable, high-performance backend systems.
• Good communicator, able to collaborate with product, design, frontend engineering teams etc.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end role designing and building the core services that power the platform.
• Work on distributed systems, data pipelines, and integration layers across a modern Java stack.
• Collaborate with engineers, product and design to deliver robust platforms.
• Own meaningful parts of the platform from day one with progression paths.
