Job summary

GKR Search and Selection represents a well-positioned aircraft leasing platform in Ireland seeking an AVP Technical for its technical services function. The role offers broad exposure to transitions, lease returns, and portfolio oversight on mid-life narrowbody assets.

You will interact with commercial, legal, and operations teams, supporting technical asset management with a collaborative leasing platform.

Qualifications

• Aviation leasing or aviation technical management experience across transitions and redeliveries.
• Familiarity with mid-life narrowbody aircraft in leasing or airline environments.
• Broad operational and commercial awareness in technical asset management.
• Relevant engineering or aeronautical qualification; willing to travel internationally.

Responsibilities

• Support technical management of leased aircraft assets through transition, delivery, and redelivery.
• Coordinate technical reviews, lease return matters, and maintenance reserve oversight.
• Provide input on acquisitions, lease negotiations, and transaction support.
• Maintain technical records, utilization reporting, and asset data across systems.
• Liaise with airlines, OEMs, MROs, and internal stakeholders on technical matters.

Responsibilities

• Support the technical management of leased aircraft assets across transition, delivery, and redelivery activity
• Coordinate technical reviews, lease return matters, maintenance reserve oversight, and compliance monitoring
• Provide technical input across acquisitions, lease negotiations, and wider commercial transaction support
• Maintain technical records, utilisation reporting, and asset data across internal systems and reporting processes
• Liaise with airlines, OEMs, MROs, and internal stakeholders across ongoing technical and operational matters

Requirements

• Strong aircraft leasing or aviation technical management experience with hands-on exposure to transitions and redeliveries
• Familiarity with mid-life narrowbody aircraft, including Boeing and Airbus platforms, within a leasing or airline environment
• Broad operational and commercial awareness across technical asset management
• Relevant engineering, aeronautical, or technical qualification preferred, with flexibility to support international travel as required
