Job summary

AECOM is recruiting a Project Manager – Drainage (Aviation Infrastructure) for our Dublin office. The role is primarily site-based, four days on site with one day of remote work weekly, leading drainage capital projects in the aviation sector.

The successful candidate will manage drainage design through feasibility, detailed design, procurement and handover, coordinating with airport ops, engineers, and contractors, while ensuring budgets, schedules and safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years managing large infrastructure/capital projects, preferably drainage/civil.
• Strong knowledge of project management and contract management.
• Experience in complex stakeholder environments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead drainage-related capital projects for the aviation sector within approved budgets and schedules.
• Coordinate drainage design development from feasibility to handover, including design and build projects.
• Manage stakeholders including airport operations, consultants, regulators, and contractors.
• Direct multidisciplinary teams across civil, drainage, structural, mechanical/electrical disciplines.
• Ensure regulatory compliance, health and safety, and environmental standards.
• Oversee project estimates, procurement strategies, and payment approvals.
• Prepare project execution plans, cash flow forecasts, and risk registers.
• Supervise day-to-day contractor activities ensuring quality and safety.
