Job summary

MRP Group in Ireland is seeking an experienced Avaya Telephony Support Engineer to provide dedicated technical support and manage telephony migration projects across the Cork and Kerry region.

You will troubleshoot Avaya Communication Manager (CM) and CS1000 CS1K, coordinate migrations from legacy sites, attend on-site 2–3 days per week, and participate in an on-call rota for P1 incidents, working with wider technical teams.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience supporting Avaya CM and CS1000 (CS1K).
• Strong troubleshooting and incident management skills.
• Experience coordinating telephony migration projects.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Based in Cork/Kerry or willing to travel regularly.
• Willingness to work on-site 2–3 days per week with remote days.
• Availability for out-of-hours rota.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support for Avaya CM and CS1000 telephony systems.
• Manage telecoms incidents through the ticketing system and resolve promptly.
• Attend site to investigate and resolve core telephony issues.
• Coordinate migrations from CS1K sites to Avaya CM.
• Collaborate with technical teams to deliver migrations and project outcomes.
• Participate in an on-call rota for P1 incidents.
• Attend weekly service reviews and project status meetings with stakeholders.
