Job summary

Willows Automotive in Kill, Co. Kildare, Ireland, is seeking an experienced Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The role is full-time, on-site, with a 39-hour week, 15-minute paid break and optional overtime paid at time and a half.

You will service, maintain, and repair vehicles, diagnose faults with modern equipment, prepare cars for NCT testing, and contribute to a clean, safe workshop. A QQI Level 6 Motor Mechanic and at least two years' experience, plus a full driving license, are

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' experience as an automotive mechanic.
• QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate Craft - Motor Mechanic (or equivalent).
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Full clean driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repairs.
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults using modern diagnostic equipment.
• Prepare vehicles for NCT testing and complete any necessary repairs.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and identify potential issues.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop.
• Work efficiently while ensuring all work meets manufacturer and industry standards.

Hours: 39-hour working week. 15 Minute Paid Break + 1 hour unpaid lunch. Monday to Thursday: 9:00 am - 6:00 pm. Friday: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. Optional overtime available, paid at time and a half, where available.
