Job summary

Lex Consultancy is recruiting an Automation Maintenance Technician for our client in Offaly. You will maintain automation and control systems on critical generating assets, driving reliability and efficiency across plant operations.

The ideal candidate holds a recognised apprenticeship in Automation/Electrical/Instrumentation with 5+ years' experience and hands-on work with DCS, SCADA and PLC systems in process environments.

Qualifications

• Recognised apprenticeship in Automation, Electrical, Instrumentation or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in automation, instrumentation or industrial maintenance.
• Strong hands-on experience with DCS, SCADA, PLC and industrial control systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned preventative and reactive maintenance on automation, control and instrumentation systems.
• Calibrate and maintain process instrumentation including pressure, flow, level, pH and analytical equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve faults across DCS, SCADA and PLC systems to maximise plant availability.
• Install, modify and commission automation equipment, instrumentation and control systems.
• Carry out PLC, DCS and SCADA modifications to support operational and plant changes.
• Support commissioning, outages and continuous improvement projects to enhance reliability and performance.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, manage spare parts and ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.

We are working with a leading organisation in the energy and utilities sector that is seeking an experienced Automation Maintenance Technician to join its engineering team in Offaly.
