Job summary

embecta is seeking an experienced technician to lead preventative maintenance and reliability initiatives on state-of-the-art automated assembly and manufacturing equipment. You will collaborate with Operations, Reliability, and Manufacturing Engineering to maximise uptime and maintain high safety and quality standards.

You will drive maintenance planning, support root cause investigations, and contribute to Lean, TPM, and continuous improvement initiatives across the site.

Qualifications

• National Craft Certificate or equivalent in mechanical/engineering field.
• Min 3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment (medical devices/pharma preferred).
• Experience with automated manufacturing equipment and CMMS (SAP).
• Strong mechanical knowledge with exposure to electrical, pneumatic and automation controls.
• Experience with preventative maintenance systems.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned preventative maintenance on state-of-the-art automated equipment.
• Support equipment reliability by identifying issues before they impact production.
• Maintain SAP CMMS work orders and preventive maintenance plans.
• Assist with validation, qualification, and commissioning of new equipment.
• Analyse equipment quality issues and support root cause investigations.
• Contribute to Lean, TPM, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support maintenance planning activities including scheduling and close of work orders.
• Train technicians, apprentices, and new team members.
