Job summary

Archer Recruitment is partnering with a global pharma manufacturing organisation in Dublin to appoint an Automation Engineering Leader. You will own the automation strategy, guide hands-on engineering, and lead a team of 8 engineers and technicians across multiple sites.

You will drive continuous improvement, improve equipment reliability, and coordinate with Engineering, Operations, Quality and Validation teams to deliver complex automation projects from design through implementation.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Automation Engineering experience.
• Strong experience with Allen-Bradley / Rockwell Automation.
• Experience across manufacturing sites/environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of 8 Automation Engineers and Technicians.
• Define and execute the site-wide automation strategy.

A global pharma manufacturing organisation with over $1B in annual revenue is expanding its Dublin operations and hiring an Automation Engineering Leader. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing organisation where you’ll play a key role in shaping automation strategy and driving continuous improvement across manufacturing sites.

This role combines technical leadership, people management and hands‑on engineering, leading a team of 8 Automation Engineers and Technicians. You’ll take ownership of complex automation projects, equipment performance and troubleshooting, while working closely with Engineering, Operations, Quality and Validation teams.
