Job summary

CareerWise Recruitment is seeking an Automation Design Engineer / Manager for a multinational Medical Device client in Limerick. The role covers the 3D design of manufacturing equipment, prototype testing, and advanced automation development within a fast-paced Med Tech environment.

You will apply 2D/3D CAD concepts, perform FEA verification, and lead value propositions to enhance the manufacturing supply chain while coordinating with stakeholders across technology teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and Prototype testing of Automated Equipment Technology Development
• Provide first-class cost-effective design solutions for automated equipment for next generation Med Tech manufacturing equipment
• Deep working knowledge & demonstrated capability to design automation equipment & processes
• Generate Design concepts in 2D and 3D CAD of proposals to help drive project solutions and recommendations
• Understand FEA techniques to verify design, preferably able to use FEA software to verify design
• Formulate and recommend engineering policies and technical work in accordance with project objectives
• Maintain a network and open lines of communication with other technology teams across client
• Lead and develop new value propositions that employ the latest technologies to bring increased efficiencies to the manufacturing supply chain
• Develop Proof of Principle (POP) activities to de-risk proposed solutions and drive these POP activities to completion, iterating the design where needed
• Provide a clear/concise Communications with both key stakeholders and Engineering Teams
• Ensure customer requirements are met and that customer feedback/recommendations are sought to allow closure of successful use cases
• Manage key equipment partners and integrators for the development of automated manufacturing systems
• Establish effective working relationships and develop new partnerships to optimize product development with partners across the organization
• Establish Strong Relationships with new and potentially Key Vendors
• Report generation and project progress reporting
• Key delivery metrics as per the stage gate process
• Risk Analysis / Managing Risks and Issues.

Job description

AUTOMATION DESIGN ENGINEER / MANAGER required for the 3D Design of manufacturing equipment for our multinational Medical Device client in Limerick.

Role will involve design and Prototype testing of Automated Equipment Technology Development.

Understanding of FEA techniques to verify design (preferably able to use FEA software to verify design).

NOTE: No sponsorship is provided for this role so applicants need to already have Irish / EU citizenship OR the relevant Stamp / Visa in place.
