Job summary

SimoTech in Limerick, Ireland, is seeking an Automation Compliance Engineer to join a state-of-the-art Biotechnology facility. You will provide automation, compliance, and technical support to manufacturing teams, focusing on DeltaV and Siemens PLC platforms within a GMP environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related.
• 2+ years’ experience with DeltaV and Siemens PLC systems.
• Experience investigating deviations, managing CAPAs and supporting change controls in GMP environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills for automated manufacturing systems.

Responsibilities

• Act as automation representative for DeltaV and PLC deviations, investigations, CAPAs and quality events.
• Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis on DeltaV and Siemens PLC systems.
• Lead development, implementation and closure of CAPAs from automation investigations.
• Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Operations and Maintenance to resolve automation issues.
• Review and support automation-related change controls and risk assessments.
• Identify recurring system issues and drive continuous improvement for reliability and compliance.
• Support audit and inspection readiness with automation expertise.
• Ensure automation systems comply with GMP and data integrity requirements.
• Support lifecycle management including upgrades and maintenance initiatives.
• Perform system compliance activities like audit trail reviews and backup testing.
