Job summary

Musgrave Group is seeking a Business Analyst (Automation & AI) to drive requirements elicitation, process discovery and automation assessment within our AI & Automation function in Cork. The role combines stakeholder engagement with hands-on analysis and practical automation knowledge.

You will lead workshops, document BRDs/PDDs/RTMs, model processes with BPMN, and collaborate with developers and architects to deliver automated solutions while ensuring governance and measurable benefits.

Qualifications

Five or more years’ relevant Business Analysis experience within technology, automation, digital transformation or process‑improvement initiatives.
Proven experience producing high-quality BRDs, PDDs and RTMs.
Eliciting requirements and facilitating in-person workshops with business, operational and technical stakeholders.
Experience modeling As-Is and To-Be processes using BPMN.
Experience with automation platforms and AI-enabled opportunities.
Experience using Azure DevOps, Jira or similar tools for backlog management, user stories, acceptance criteria and traceability.
Decomposing business requirements into epics, features and user stories with end-to-end traceability.
Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments.
Regular travel across Ireland and a full driving licence are required.
A recognised Business Analysis qualification or certification.
Experience with workflow automation, intelligent document processing, OCR, process mining or AI-enabled solutions.

Responsibilities

Lead structured requirements elicitation through in-person workshops, stakeholder interviews, process walkthroughs and observations.
Document functional and non‑functional requirements clearly using Musgrave templates and standards.
Develop BRDs, PDDs, RTMs, user stories and acceptance criteria.
Define scope, assumptions, dependencies, constraints and measurable success criteria.
Maintain traceability from business need through to delivery and benefits realization.
Lead process discovery sessions to understand current ways of working and identify automation opportunities.
Develop As‑Is and To‑Be BPMN process models and assess process suitability for automation.
Present findings, options and recommendations to diverse audiences.
Translate business needs into epics, features and user stories for Agile delivery.
Collaborate with developers and solution architects; contribute to design discussions.
Support governance, adoption and benefits tracking; ensure business readiness.
Facilitate training and knowledge-sharing sessions; create clear training materials.
Travel to Musgrave sites across Ireland for workshops and workshops.
