Job summary

Health Service Executive in Ireland seeks an Occupational Therapist - Clinical Specialist 3824 to work with children and young people, focusing on neurodevelopmental differences and autism, within a multidisciplinary team.

This permanent role covers Limerick, Clare and Tipperary North, with flexible part-time or full-time arrangements; strong knowledge of supports and evidence-informed interventions is required, and a person-centred, neuro-affirming approach is expected.

Qualifications

• Relevant knowledge, skills and experience in differential diagnosis and diagnostic assessment/intervention when working with children and young people with neurodevelopmental differences, including autism as well as mild to moderate mental health difficulties and complex development and social needs.
• In-depth knowledge of the supports, services, and evidence-informed interventions available to Autistic children, young people and their families.
• Strong understanding and practical application of neuro-affirming approaches, with a commitment to strengths-based, person-centred practice.
• Proven experience working effectively within multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated, high-quality care and support.
