Job summary

Health Service Executive seeks a Senior Clinical Psychologist to work with children and young people with neurodevelopmental differences, including autism, across the HSE Mid West region. The role emphasizes differential diagnosis, diagnostic assessment and intervention, and partnership with families and services.

You will collaborate within multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, coordinated care, applying neuro-affirming, strengths-based practice in a complex pediatric setting.

Qualifications

• Relevant knowledge, skills and experience in differential diagnosis and diagnostic assessment/intervention when working with children and young people with neurodevelopmental differences, including autism as well as mild to moderate mental health difficulties and complex developmental and social needs.
• In-depth knowledge of the supports, services, and evidence-informed interventions available to Autistic children, young people and their families.
• Strong understanding and practical application of neuro-affirming approaches, with a commitment to strengths-based, person-centred practice.
• Proven experience working effectively within multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated, high-quality care and support.
