Qualifications

• Professional qualification ACA / ACCA / CPA (or equivalent) required or part-qualified.
• Minimum 2 years' audit experience in Big4/Top 10 or medium-sized practice.
• Strong IFRS, Irish/UK GAAP (FRS 102) and ISAs knowledge.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to explain complex topics.
• Right to work in Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end statutory and internal audit engagements from planning to completion under IFRS and FRS 102.
• Act as primary day-to-day contact for senior client stakeholders and CFOs.
• Supervise, train and mentor junior trainees and audit associates.
• Identify weaknesses and draft practical recommendations for management reports.
• Monitor budgets, resources and billing for profitability and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Audit Execution & Management: Lead end-to-end statutory and internal audit engagements from planning through to completion under IFRS and FRS 102.

• Client Relationship Management: Act as the primary day-to-day point of contact for senior client stakeholders, finance managers, and CFOs.

• Team Leadership & Coaching: Supervise, train, and mentor junior trainees and audit associates, providing constructive feedback and reviewing working papers.

• Financial & Risk Advisory: Identify operational or control weaknesses during audits and draft practical, high-value recommendations for management reports.

• Engagement Economics: Monitor audit budgets, resource allocation, and billing to ensure profitable and timely engagement delivery.

Requirements:

• Professional Qualification: ACA / ACCA / CPA (or equivalent) qualified/ part qualified.

• Audit Experience: Minimum 2 years within a recognized audit practice environment (Big 4, Top 10, or medium-sized audit firm).

• Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of IFRS, Irish/UK GAAP (FRS 102), and international auditing standards (ISAs).

• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex accounting topics clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
