Qualifications

• Recognised degree or postgraduate qualification in Audiology.
• Membership or eligibility for ISHAA or equivalent body.
• Competence in hearing assessments and audiometric testing.
• Experience fitting, programming and verifying hearing aids.
• Strong communication and client-care capabilities.
• Clear explanation of clinical information with empathy.
• Organisational, record-keeping and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage caseload independently and collaboratively with team.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and current audiology advances.
• Experience in community or private-practice audiology is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive hearing assessments for adults and children.
• Perform tinnitus evaluations and diagnostic procedures as needed.
• Interpret results and develop treatment plans.
• Recommend, fit, program and verify hearing aids and assistive devices.
• Provide follow-up appointments, rehabilitation and aftercare.
• Counsel clients and families with clear information.
• Maintain confidential clinical records accurately.
• Coordinate with GPs, ENT specialists and healthcare professionals.
• Support patient education, community outreach and awareness.
• Contribute to development of clinical services.
• Maintain professional, ethical and evidence-based standards.
