Job summary

Eurofins is hiring an Associate Scientist to join our Microbiology Team in Dungarvan. The role focuses on quality control testing of pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical samples to ensure compliance with predefined quality and safety standards.

You will perform routine and non-routine analyses, maintain accurate documentation, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives while adhering to GMP guidelines and training colleagues as needed.

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year GMP experience
• Strong attention to detail
• Good knowledge of aseptic techniques, bioburden and sterility testing
• Organised, accurate, and strong documentation skills
• Good understanding of GMP
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Professionalism, quality consciousness, and willingness to learn
• Proactive, flexible, and customer-focused

Responsibilities

• Carry out quality control testing of pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical samples to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
• Perform routine and non-routine analysis with accuracy and efficiency.
• Complete test records on time, ensuring SOPs and regulatory standards are met.
• Identify opportunities for quality and service improvement; contribute to continuous improvement projects.
• Adhere to GMP guidelines and internal quality standards; document and trace all activities.
• Participate in Root Cause Analysis and prepare Exception reports.
• Gain proficiency in assigned tests/areas and maintain training records.
• Provide training to colleagues in techniques/tests where competency is proven.
• Provide cover for colleagues as required.
• Participate in weekend rota, overtime, and on-call schedules.
