Job summary

Eurofins Biopharma Product Testing Ireland in Dungarvan is seeking an Associate Scientist to join our Microbiology Team. The main aim of the role is to carry out quality control testing of pharmaceutical samples and biopharmaceutical products to ensure compliance with predefined quality and safety standards.

You will perform routine and non-routine analyses, complete test records on time, and adhere to SOPs and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• GMP experience (6 months to 1 year) required.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Knowledge of aseptic techniques, bioburden and sterility testing.
• Organised, accurate, and strong documentation skills.
• Good understanding of GMP; ability to work independently and in a team.
• Proactive, flexible, customer-focused with excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and non-routine analysis with accuracy and efficiency.
• Complete test records on time, ensuring compliance with SOPs and regulatory standards.
• Identify opportunities for quality and service improvement; contribute to continuous improvement projects.
• Adhere to GMP guidelines and internal quality standards; ensure all activities are documented and traceable.
• Participate in Root Cause Analysis and prepare Exception reports.
• Gain proficiency in assigned tests/areas of testing; maintain training records.
• Provide training to colleagues in techniques/tests where competency is proven.
• Provide cover for colleagues as required.
• Participate in weekend rota, overtime, and On-Call/Call-out schedules.
• Ensure customer requirements are met.
