Job summary

iLabs is a global software product engineering company seeking frontend developers to join our hybrid Battaramulla team, working on web applications with React.js, Next.js, TypeScript and JavaScript. You will collaborate with senior engineers to implement user-facing features for web and mobile platforms and help build scalable, maintainable frontend solutions.

We value good English communication, a degree in CS or related field, and a willingness to align with US time (5:00 PM–2:00 AM SL Time).

Qualifications

• 1+ years of frontend or full-stack development experience.
• Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Basic understanding of software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web applications using React.js, Next.js, TypeScript and JavaScript.
• Work with senior engineers to design and implement user-facing features for web and mobile platforms.
• Support the development of scalable, reliable, and maintainable front-end solutions.
• Write clean, reusable, and well-tested code following best practices.
• Fix bugs, improve performance, and enhance existing features.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and daily stand-ups.
• Learn and follow company standards for security, performance, and quality.
• Assist in debugging production issues and supporting live systems.
• Leverage AI-powered engineering tools, coding assistants, and AI agents to improve development productivity, code quality, testing, documentation, and problem-solving workflows.

Location: Battaramulla (Hybrid)

US Time (5:00 PM - 2:00 AM SL Time) and the US Calendar

What We're Looking For

• Basic to good knowledge of React.js and Next.js

• Understanding of JavaScript / TypeScript

• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, REST APIs

• Basic knowledge of Git and version control

• Willingness to learn and work with modern web technologies

• Good English communication skills and a team‑player mindset

Bonus if you have:

• Knowledge or experience in Java would be a strong added advantage.

• Basic exposure to GraphQL

• Experience with Node.js

• Familiarity with Docker or Kubernetes

• Experience working on E-commerce or subscription‑based systems

Job Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in frontend or full‑stack development

• (or fresh graduates with strong project experience)

• Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

• Basic understanding of software development lifecycle

• Passion for learning, coding, and building digital products
