Job summary

AstraZeneca is seeking an Associate Director, Manufacturing Operations in Dublin to lead end-to-end biologics drug substance manufacturing and warehouse operations. You will provide technical leadership, drive schedule adherence, and champion a right-first-time culture across 24/7 operations, partnering with EHS, QA, QC and Engineering.

Qualifications

12+ years pharma experience overseeing Drug Substance ops and quality/technical services.
Proven leadership and people development.
Experience driving Lean, digital or AI-driven transformation in regulated manufacturing.

Responsibilities

Own adherence to production plans and schedule across shifts.
Embed right-first-time and compliance with cGMP and safety requirements.
Coach shift teams and drive real-time performance improvements.
Lead robust root-cause analyses and CAPA programs.
Oversee safe, compliant warehouse activities and material flow.
Collaborate with EHS, QA, QC, Engineering/Maintenance and Technical Services.
Drive readiness for new builds, NPI, and regulatory inspections.
Scale Lean, digital and AI solutions to improve safety, quality and productivity.
