Job summary

AstraZeneca is seeking an Associate Director, Manufacturing Operations in Dublin to lead end-to-end biologics drug substance manufacturing and warehouse operations. You will champion Lean, AI adoption and sustain a right-first-time culture across 24/7 shifts while ensuring safety, quality and supply to patients.

You will coach leaders, collaborate with QA, QC and Engineering, and prepare the site for inspections and growth, driving performance with measurable metrics.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in pharma overseeing Drug Substance operations, quality or technical services.
• Experience leading Lean, digital or AI-enabled transformations in regulated settings.
• Proven ability to coach and build leadership capability.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end biologics manufacturing and warehouse operations.
• Drive 24/7 schedule adherence and on-the-floor coaching.
• Embed CAPA, RCA and continuous improvement.
• Prepare for inspections and regulatory readiness.
• Represent Operations with senior partners and external stakeholders.
