We are currently seeking to recruit an Audit Associate Director to join our Audit team in Dun Laoghaire to support ongoing growth. The duties of the Audit Associate Director:
- Lead engagement planning, staff resourcing, and workflow management to ensure deadlines are achieved efficiently.
- Manage engagement budgets, billing, recoverability, and cash collection targets to ensure profitability of assignments.
- Support Partners in business development activities, including identifying opportunities for additional services and preparing proposals and tender submissions.
- Lead, plan, review and finalise complex audit engagements to a high professional standard, within budget and time deadlines, and firm policies.
- Provide technical oversight and quality review of audit files prepared by managers and audit teams, ensuring high standards of audit quality and risk management.
- To identify areas of non-compliance with auditing and accounting standards, and to bring these to the attention of the team.
- Review and approve statutory financial statements and other client deliverables in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
- Act as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients, developing and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Mentor, coach and develop managers, senior staff and trainees, providing technical guidance and support.
- Conduct performance reviews and contribute to succession planning, training programmes, and staff development initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with the firm's quality management procedures, professional standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor emerging accounting, auditing, and regulatory developments and communicate relevant changes to staff and clients.
Demonstrable Experience and Qualifications Required:
- You will have at least 4 plus years post qualification experience in auditing Irish companies.
- Relevant degree and an ACA, ACCA, or other accounting or relevant qualification.
- Business acumen and insight to be an effective business advisor to your clients.
- Experience in managing and leading teams effectively.
- Experience in presenting to senior management teams along with excellent report writing skills.
- Experience in operational supervision of assignments and managing client relationships and expectations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
- Strong organisational and planning skills.
- Ability to work on own initiative and to provide guidance to others.
- Experience of working to deadlines and delivering under pressure when required.
