Job summary

Grant Thornton Ireland is seeking an Associate Director for Asset Management within the Audit & Assurance – Financial Services practice. This senior leadership role offers responsibility for client delivery, people leadership and business development across Dublin or Cork.

You will lead complex asset management audits, manage multi-entity engagements, and advise Boards and Fund Managers on regulatory and accounting issues, while fostering an inclusive, high‑performance culture.

Qualifications

• Significant Asset Management/Financial Services audit experience in professional services.
• Strong leadership and people-management capabilities.
• Excellent knowledge of IFRS and Irish GAAP as applied to funds and asset management.

Responsibilities

• Own a significant and complex Asset Management audit portfolio.
• Lead audit planning, execution and completion across entities/structures.
• Advise Boards, Fund Managers and Finance Directors and maintain strong client relationships.
• Ensure high-quality engagements in line with regulatory requirements and firm methodology.
• Provide technical leadership on IFRS/Irish GAAP and funds accounting matters.
• Review key audit judgements with risk management focus.
• Mentor and develop Managers and engagement teams.
• Support growth via cross-selling and market initiatives in Financial Services.
