Job summary

Optum seeks a Portfolio Leader to drive complex affordability initiatives from concept through governance, deployment, and value realization in Ireland. You will partner with Clinical, Non-Clinical, Finance, Legal, Technology, and Analytics teams to ensure governance, risk management, and timely delivery of outcomes.

The role requires strong leadership across matrixed teams, experience shaping executive materials, and a proven track record in delivering measurable value in healthcare operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher; professional experience in healthcare, affordability, reimbursement policy, or related domains.
• Experience leading cross-functional programs, portfolios, or strategic initiatives in matrixed environments.
• Strong ability to develop executive-level presentations and governance materials, driving decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own affordability concepts from intake through deployment and value realization.
• Lead governance gates and ensure readiness, criteria, and quality before progression.
• Partner with Clinical, Non-Clinical, Legal, Finance, Technology, and Operations to resolve risks and drive alignment.
• Track portfolio health, actions, and governance outcomes to ensure measurable value realization.
