Job summary

Portwest Retail stores in Galway City are seeking an Assistant Store Manager to join our team. You’ll be the right hand to the Store Manager and inspire a team of 10+ to deliver exceptional customer moments and drive store performance.

You’ll lead with enthusiasm for outdoor activities, coach colleagues to become product specialists, manage stock, and contribute to cost control while delivering great merchandising.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year’s retail management experience.
• Keen interest in outdoor activities and knowledge of the product range.
• Strong understanding of customer service and experience.
• Ability to work on own initiative and deliver results through strong leadership.
• Experience in stock management and EPOS till systems.
• Merchandising skills.

• Coaching and developing a team to become true product specialists in the product ranged

You will lead a team of fellow enthusiasts to deliver expert advice, to ensure the customer leaves well equipped and has their needs covered.

We are currently looking to recruit for the role of Assistant Store Manager, in our recently renovated Galway City store. As our Assistant Manager you are the right hand to the Store Manager and a leader on the floor. You’ll help inspire a team of 10+ to deliver exceptional customer moments whilst helping drive the store performance to new heights.
