Job summary

Blue-Forge-Recruitment assists a leading Irish supermarket chain in Wexford to recruit an experienced Assistant Store Manager to support store operations and cover the manager in their absence.

The ideal candidate will lead multiple departments, drive sales, monitor KPIs, and uphold health and safety standards while delivering excellent customer service and staff development.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of retail management experience in a busy environment.
• Strong understanding of KPIs, sales targets, budgets and margins.
• Proven ability to lead and develop large (up to 50) teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example and ensure staff follow policies, procedures and standards.
• Manage stock control, inventory accuracy, waste and shrinkage.
• Support promotions, merchandising and in-store displays to maximize sales.
• Oversee control of costs including labour to maintain profitability.
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding and staff development with HR.
• Handle customer queries and complaints with a high level of service.
• Assist with rotas and labour planning; deploy staff effectively.

This store is located on a 25 minutes drive from Enniscorthy and a 30 minutes drive from New Ross. An ideal candidate will have be a fast leaner and will be responsible with managing all the departments in the store and cover the store manager in their absence. This job also requires a knowledge of sales targets, KPIs and Health and Health and Safety regulations. Responsibilities of Retail Assistant Manager Job Co. Wexford

• Lead by example and ensure all staff follow company policies, procedures and operational standards.
• Take responsibility for stock control, inventory accuracy, waste and shrinkage.
• Support promotional activity, merchandising, advertising and in-store displays to maximise sales opportunities.
• Take ownership of controllable costs, including labour, waste and other operating expenses, to maintain profitability.
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding, training and development of new and existing employees in partnership with HR.
• Manage customer queries and complaints professionally, ensuring a high level of customer service at all times.
• Support the Store Manager with rotas, labour planning and effective deployment of staff across the store.
• Ensure high standards of Health & Safety, food safety, cleanliness and compliance are maintained.
• Assist with audits and ensure any actions identified are followed through promptly.

Requirements for Retail Assistant Manager Job Co. Wexford

• Minimum of 2-3 years of retail management experience, ideally within a busy, fast-paced retail environment.
