Job summary

Mount Juliet Estate in Thomastown, a five‑star luxury resort within the Marriott Autograph Collection, is seeking an Assistant Restaurant Manager for The Hound Restaurant at Hunter's Yard Hotel. Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, you will lead the restaurant team to deliver outstanding guest experiences and uphold the highest service standards.

This hands‑on leadership role requires strong operational skills, clear communication and a passion for hospitality.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory or management experience within a high-quality restaurant, hotel or hospitality environment.
• A genuine passion for food, beverage and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
• Strong knowledge of restaurant service and day‑to‑day operational standards.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.

Responsibilities

• Operational Leadership & Service Excellence: Lead and supervise the restaurant team during service, ensuring high standards of service and guest experience.
• Guest Experience & Brand Excellence: Deliver warm, personalised service and address guest needs and feedback.
• Commercial & Operational Performance: Support cost control, inventory and staffing in line with business requirements.
• Leadership & Team Development: Coach and develop team members to uphold Mount Juliet Estate's culture and standards.
