We are now seeking an Assistant Private Dining Manager to join our award-winning Food & Beverage team.

As Assistant Private Dining Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring that every private dining experience at The Merrion reflects our commitment to exceptional quality and personalized service. Working closely with the Private Dining Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of private dining rooms, lead and motivate your team, and ensure that each event runs seamlessly from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure outstanding guest service delivery in line with The Merrion’s five-star standards.
• Support the planning, organisation, and execution of all private dining events.
• Supervise and train the Private Dining team to deliver exceptional service at all times.
• Handle guest feedback and requests promptly and professionally.
• Control operating costs while maintaining the highest service and quality standards.
• Assist in developing and implementing departmental procedures and standards.
• Promote food and beverage sales, ensuring up-selling opportunities are maximized.
• Manage daily operations, including briefings, scheduling, and communication with all departments.
• Support the Private Dining Manager in recruitment, training, and performance reviews.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene standards.
• Act as Duty Manager when required.

We are looking for a service-driven professional who:

• Has previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role within Food & Beverage, preferably in a 4- or 5-star hotel environment.
• Demonstrates strong leadership and communication skills.
• Has excellent attention to detail and a passion for creating memorable guest experiences.
• Is flexible, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Possesses strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
• Displays a positive, hands-on attitude and leads by example.
