Overview

Our client, a leading professional services firm based in Dublin City Centre, is seeking an experienced Senior Tax Manager to join their expanding tax team. Reporting directly to the Partners and working closely with the Tax Director, the Senior Tax Manager will oversee a diverse portfolio of corporate and personal clients, combining compliance and advisory responsibilities across all tax heads.

This is a key leadership role for a motivated tax professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and is committed to delivering exceptional client service and technical excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Manage a wide-ranging portfolio of personal and corporate tax clients to the highest professional standards.
  • Oversee portfolio performance, including billing, collections, and work-in-progress monitoring.
  • Prepare and review tax returns across multiple client types.
  • Lead and contribute to advisory projects across all major tax heads — Corporate Tax, Income Tax (including payroll), Capital Gains Tax, Capital Acquisitions Tax, and VAT.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing proactive and timely tax advice.
  • Collaborate closely with the Tax Director and Partners on complex and strategic tax assignments.
  • Conduct technical tax research to support client and internal initiatives.
  • Work in partnership with colleagues across departments to deliver comprehensive client solutions.
  • Mentor, coach, and appraise junior team members, fostering a positive and development-focused culture.
Requirements
  • Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA) qualification is essential.
  • Accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) is desirable.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ post-qualified experience in a practice environment.
  • At least 12 months’ experience in a management or supervisory position, ideally at Senior Tax Manager or equivalent level.
  • Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with tax compliance software.
  • A collaborative and enthusiastic team player committed to professional growth.

  • Flexible working hours (start between 8:00–10:00am, finish between 4:30–6:30pm).
