Job summary

Sodexo Ltd in Clondalkin, Dublin is seeking a GMP Cleaning Assistant Manager to lead the on-site GMP cleaning team in a pharmaceutical environment. You will oversee daily operations, drive compliance and uphold high cleaning standards.

The role requires proven people management, strong budgeting awareness and excellent organisational skills, with opportunities to develop staff and liaise with clients and internal teams. This is a fixed-term full-time position with opportunities for progression.

Qualifications

• Experience within the pharmaceutical industry, ideally in a GMP or cleanroom environment.
• Proven people management and team leadership experience.
• Strong understanding of cleaning operations, compliance standards and safe systems of work.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Good knowledge of budget management, stock control and administrative processes.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
• A proactive, practical approach with the ability to manage competing priorities and resolve problems effectively.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day GMP cleaning team operations to meet client requirements.
• Conduct regular audits, inspections and spot checks to maintain compliance and audit-readiness.
• Ensure adherence to GMP, health and safety, COSHH and all relevant procedures.
• Lead, motivate, train and develop team members.
• Manage staff schedules, holidays, payroll administration and personnel records.
• Monitor budgets, labour costs, cleaning materials and stock levels, minimising waste and cost control.
• Maintain accurate documentation, reports, training records and electronic systems.
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors and internal teams to resolve issues and deliver service.
• Deputise for the Cleaning Manager when required.
