Job summary

Sodexo in Clondalkin, Dublin is seeking an experienced GMP Cleaning Assistant Manager for a 6-month FTC. You will lead a GMP cleaning team in a pharmaceutical environment, ensuring high standards and regulatory compliance while delivering client satisfaction.

The role focuses on people leadership, audits and cost control, with day-to-day responsibility for schedules, records and performance. Strong communication and a hands-on approach are essential to success.

Qualifications

• Experience in pharmaceutical GMP or cleanroom environments.
• Demonstrated leadership and people management experience.
• Strong understanding of GMP, safety systems of work, and compliance.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Budget management, stock control and administrative processes.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Proactive, practical approach with ability to multitask.
• Good IT skills including Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day GMP cleaning operations, ensuring work meets client requirements and company standards.
• Conduct audits, inspections and spot checks to maintain compliance and audit readiness.
• Ensure adherence to GMP, health and safety, COSHH and relevant procedures.
• Lead, motivate, train and develop team members.
• Manage staff schedules, holidays, payroll administration and records.
• Monitor budgets, labour costs, cleaning materials and stock levels; minimise waste.
• Maintain accurate documentation, reports, training records and electronic systems.
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors and internal teams to resolve issues and deliver excellent service.
• Deputise for the Cleaning Manager when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the day‑to‑day operations of the GMP cleaning team, ensuring all work meets client requirements and company standards.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience within the pharmaceutical industry, ideally in a GMP or cleanroom environment.
• Proven people management and team leadership experience.
• Strong understanding of cleaning operations, compliance standards and safe systems of work.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Good knowledge of budget management, stock control and administrative processes.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
• A proactive, practical approach with the ability to manage competing priorities and resolve problems effectively.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
