Job summary

Aerogen in Galway, Ireland, is seeking an Assistant Inventory Coordinator (Evening Shift) to manage inventory accuracy and cycle counts within a regulated manufacturing setting.

What is the role?

The Assistant Inventory Coordinator (Nights) plans, oversees and executes all activities related to inventory cycle controls in the Parkmore facility as part of the inventory team. Their main objective is to ensure that all materials are properly stored and that accurate and appropriate levels of inventory are maintained to meet customer demand. This is verified by performing routine cycle counts as scheduled and investigating and resolving any discrepancies identified. Performance is measured on cycle count accuracy and identifying opportunities for implementing continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inventory transactions.
  • Nominated inventory contact for wafer allocation on evening shift.
  • Part of the inventory team, responsible for picking daily jobs required to meet production requirements.
  • Fully trained on the kitting process in Parkmore and may be diverted to help in kitting as required by the senior warehouse supervisor.
  • Maintains and files transaction records.
  • Maintains inventory procedures.
  • Supports process improvement for inventory control.
  • Assists with monthly cycle counting as requested on evening shift.
  • Maintains the flow of material through MRB and rework.
  • Manages MRB for in‑process fails in conjunction with Quality as requested by senior warehouse supervisor.
  • Supports consigned inventory processes.
  • Performance will be measured on the following:
  • Achieving inventory accuracy.
  • Developing and implementing continuous improvement processes.
  • Executing agreed‑upon financial requirements.
  • Internal and external audits.
  • May be required to help in Shannon warehouse occasionally as requested by senior warehouse supervisors.
  • Responsible for handling receipt of incoming material and receiving such deliveries onto the CSI system and assigning suitable storage locations for these items.
  • Assists the senior warehouse supervisor and inventory team with ensuring good GMP and housekeeping is maintained in the warehouse.
  • Responsible for receipt of deliveries from Shannon and for putting away this stock.
  • Responsible for organizing shipments to Shannon of both raw material and finished goods for storage.
  • Reviews obsolescence and physically scrapes and adjusts accordingly.
  • Supports ERP improvements.
  • Updates stock information in the inventory management system.
  • Assists with monthly financial audits of inventory stock.
  • Assists with physical inventory counts as required.
  • Assists with material requisitions as requested by senior warehouse supervisor if required.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as required.
Education and Experience Required
  • Significant experience using MRP/ERP systems.
  • Experience performing cycle counting.
  • Experience performing investigation and resolving cycle count discrepancies.
  • Experience in regulated environments is a plus.
  • A relevant qualification in supply chain or business would be an advantage.
Key Skills
  • The ideal candidate must have prior inventory experience in a medical device manufacturing and/or fulfillment environment and possess strong knowledge of supply chain and operational processes.
  • Excellent organizational skills, the ability to balance immediate and long‑term priorities and exceptional multi‑tasking skills are necessary.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Data analysis and numeric skills with the ability to evaluate, analyse and present data.
  • Self‑starter with the ability to work independently under pressure and react quickly to changing priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong attention to details.
  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • Forklift driving.
