Job summary

Sofitel Dublin Airport Hotel is seeking an experienced Assistant Head Housekeeper to lead the Housekeeping team through pre-opening and launch. You will supervise, train and coordinate across departments to ensure rooms and public areas meet Sofitel luxury standards.

In this pivotal role, you will recruit, setup operations, implement readiness testing, and continuously improve quality, safety and guest satisfaction in a high-volume environment at one of Europe’s busiest gateways.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory or assistant-management experience in Housekeeping within an upscale, luxury or high-volume hotel.
• Strong knowledge of guest-room and public-area cleaning, inspection standards, linen and uniform control.
• Excellent team leadership, training and problem-solving skills with a guest-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Support the Executive Housekeeper in delivering exceptional housekeeping standards across guest rooms and public areas.
• Lead pre-opening activities including recruitment, training, setup and readiness testing.
• Coordinate room readiness, arrivals and status updates with Front Office to maximise guest satisfaction.
• Inspect rooms and public areas and address quality, maintenance and hygiene issues.
• Oversee stock control, budgeting, rostering and purchasing to meet financial targets.
• Mentor and develop the housekeeping team through training and feedback.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and company standards.
