Job summary

Armont Recruitment has partnered with a well-established Irish organisation to hire an experienced Assistant Accountant for its Dublin finance team. You will support accurate financial reporting, reconciliations and month-end processes across multiple entities, with exposure to a fast-paced environment and clear progression opportunities.

Reporting to the Finance Director Ireland, you will complete reconciliations, assist with month-end close, prepare ad hoc analysis and contribute to audits

Qualifications

• Accounting Technician or part-qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA.
• Minimum three years of accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and reconciliations.
• Experience supporting monthly accounts preparation.
• Excellent Excel, analytical and organisational skills.
• Strong communication skills with a proactive and detail-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Complete bank and intercompany reconciliations.
• Reconcile key balance sheet accounts including VAT, stock and control accounts.
• Assist with month-end close activities and financial reporting.
• Process expenses and prepare ad hoc analysis.
• Support audit preparation and external reporting requirements.
• Produce regular management reports and provide support across the finance function.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and controls.
