Job summary

Goldman Sachs in Ireland seeks an experienced risk professional to support our business in risk management and controls within the 1st line. You will lead a small team, drive risk strategy, and ensure robust controls across the savings business.

You will collaborate with 2nd/3rd line teams, conduct risk assessments, and support audits and training initiatives to maintain compliance with EU and Irish regulations.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of regulatory policies and retail banking requirements.
• Experience with risk management and control testing in 1st line.
• Strong communication, analytical and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead Business Risk and Controls efforts across the Ireland Savings business, ensuring risk management框架 and control assurance.
• Establish a strong risk cadence and manage risks within business appetite.
• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures across cross‑functional teams.
• Collaborate with 2nd and 3rd line teams to manage Regulatory and Operational Risk.
• Provide guidance to leadership to ensure key controls are in place.
• Lead a small team of risk professionals and drive risk strategy.
• Support monthly control testing and risk assessments, identifying gaps and corrective actions.
• Work with global Risk teams to embed risk appetite into policies and controls.
• Contribute to audits of policy and compliance and training initiatives.
