Job summary

Goldman Sachs in Dublin seeks an experienced Risk & Controls professional to lead Business Risk and Controls for the Savings business. You will manage risk, design controls and collaborate across 1st, 2nd and 3rd lines to ensure regulatory compliance and operational resilience.

This role requires a strong background in risk management, regulatory knowledge and the ability to influence across teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in risk management and control testing, ideally operating in the 1st line.
• In-depth understanding of Operational Risk within a regulated environment.
• Understanding of EU and Irish retail banking regulations.
• Degree in Finance or related field preferred.
• Excellent business analytical, good eye for detail.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to influence people.

Responsibilities

• Lead our Business Risk and Controls efforts, ensuring a robust risk management framework including control self-assessment, control assurance, resilience and incident management.
• Establish a strong risk cadence across all Savings business areas within the risk appetite.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures and authority levels across cross-functional teams.
• Develop strategies to manage Regulatory and Operational Risk with 2nd and 3rd line teams.
• Provide direction to leadership to ensure key controls are in place for regulatory and operational risk.
• Leads a small team of risk professionals and drives the risk strategy.
• Support monthly control testing and identify gaps in controls for new or emerging risks.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and quantify risks affecting the team and wider business.
• Collaborate with global Risk teams to embed risk appetite into policies and controls.
• Conduct audits of policy and compliance to standards.
• Develop and deliver risk training materials for teams.
