Job summary

ESS Ltd is seeking an Asset Care Engineer in Ireland to oversee CMMS asset care projects, manage system optimisation, and coordinate on-site resources with cross-functional teams. The role drives PM/PdM strategies and ensures reliable asset performance.

The candidate will maintain asset records, implement tagging for traceability, and produce monthly KPI reports while collaborating with IT, maintenance, and operations. Training may enable partial remote work.

Role Overview:

The Asset Care Engineer is responsible for the comprehensive management of the asst care improvement project and optimisation of the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS). This role ensures the system effectively supports the maintenance and asset management needs of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Co-ordination:

• Coordinate ESS resources on-site to ensure smooth project execution.
• Develop and manage efficient project schedules.
• Monitor and report on project KPIs monthly.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for the client and ESS personnel on-site.

Asset Management:

• Maintain accurate and detailed asset records within the CMMS.
• Implement and manage asset tagging to ensure traceability.
• Classify assets into appropriate categories for effective reporting and management.
• Conduct asset criticality assessments to prioritise maintenance activities.

Preventive & Predictive Maintenance (PM & PdM):

• Develop and manage PM and PdM job plans to enhance asset performance and reliability.
• Continuously improve maintenance strategies using data insights and stakeholder feedback.

System Optimisation:

• Ensure the CMMS asset structure is logical, scalable, and aligned with business needs.
• Regularly review and update the system to reflect changes in assets or processes.

Documentation and Procedures:

• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including user guides and compliance procedures.
• Standardise procedures for asset tagging, classification, prioritisation, and maintenance planning.
• Train staff on CMMS usage and best practices to ensure consistency and efficiency.

Stores Management:

• Assist with as required the integrating and managing inventory and spare parts within the CMMS to ensure efficient stores management.

Stores & Inventory Management:

• Support the integration and management of spare parts and inventory within the CMMS.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

• Analyse maintenance data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
• Generate and present reports on asset reliability, system performance, and maintenance effectiveness.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with maintenance, operations, and IT teams to align CMMS functionality with business objectives.
• Liaise with software vendors to resolve issues and implement upgrades.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience in CMMS management and asset care projects.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
