Sheridans Cheesemongers Ltd. is seeking a friendly Cheesemonger to join the Nass counter in Dunnes Stores. This 16-hour-per-week permanent contract role offers training, exposure to Irish and European artisan foods, and opportunities for career progression.

Qualifications

• Previous retail or food experience is helpful.
• Strong interest in artisan food, cheese, and local producers.
• Friendly, confident communication and listening skills.
• A positive, outgoing personality.
• Ability to stay organised and calm in a busy environment.
• Good attention to detail.
• Self-motivated and happy working as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming customers and delivering exceptional service in a lively retail environment.
• Sharing knowledge about Irish and European artisan cheeses, foods, and producers.
• Recommending flavours, pairings, and products with confidence.
• Caring for cheese to ensure it is presented and sold at its very best.
• Maintaining attractive product displays and signage throughout the day.
• Receiving deliveries and organising stock correctly.
• Supporting stock rotation and reducing waste.
• Maintaining food safety standards, HACCP records, and allergen awareness.
• Keeping counters, fridges, and storage areas clean and well organised.
• Assisting with seasonal displays, including hampers.
