Job summary

Archer Recruitment is partnering with a leading AI team in Ireland to build greenfield AI capabilities from the ground up. You will join a high-calibre group of AI engineers, data scientists and tech leaders, taking ideas from concept to production on agentic AI, LLMs, RAG and integrations.

You’ll influence technical direction, work hands-on on agents and pipelines, and shape the foundations of an ambitious AI function that will scale over time.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in AI, data science or software engineering.
• 2+ years hands-on development with large language models (LLMs).
• Proven experience building RAG pipelines and production AI agents.
• Strong Python skills and experience with agent frameworks or SDKs.
• Experience with MCP development and integration.
• Understanding of LLM evaluation, metrics and guardrails.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship AI agents and LLM-powered solutions from concept through to production.
• Develop RAG pipelines, tools and integrations across data sources.
• Design evaluation approaches to improve reliability and measurability of outputs.
• Build and integrate MCP-based tools and services to extend agent capabilities.
• Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to turn concepts into scalable production solutions.

A new AI function is being built from the ground up, bringing together a highly collaborative team of AI engineers, data scientists and technical leaders to create something genuinely new.

You’ll join at an exciting stage, working on greenfield AI projects where you can influence the technology, approach and direction from the outset. This is a hands-on role spanning agentic AI, LLMs, RAG and AI integrations, taking ideas from early concepts through to production.

You’ll be joining a high-calibre AI team built around collaboration, innovation and shared ownership. Working alongside experienced AI engineers and data scientists, you’ll have the opportunity to shape the team, influence technical direction and build something genuinely special from the ground up.
