We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Articulated Truck Driver to join our Transport Team. Barry Group are offering attractive new pay rates.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring timely, safe, and accurate deliveries to our customer base.
General Duties Responsibilities
- Carry out deliveries to retail and wholesale customers in line with scheduled routes
- Safely operate articulated vehicles in compliance with road traffic laws and company policies
- Conduct daily vehicle checks (pre and post trip inspections) and report any defects
- Load and unload goods where required, ensuring correct handling and securing of loads
- Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately, with correct paperwork and PODs (Proof of Delivery)
- Deliver excellent customer service at all delivery points
- Adhere to EU driver hours, tachograph regulations, and Working Time Directive requirements
- Work closely with the transport office to manage any delivery issues or delays
- Follow all health safety procedures, including safe use of tail lifts and manual handling practices
Requirements
- Full Clean CE (Artic) Driving Licence
- Valid CPC (Driver Certificate of Professional Competence)
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous experience in a multi-drop delivery environment (preferred)
- Good knowledge of Irish road networks
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work to tight schedules
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Flexible approach to working hours (early starts / variable shifts as required)
