Job summary

Kearys Motor Group in Mallow is seeking a 2nd, 3rd or 4th Year Apprentice Mechanic to join our growing team at Kearys Hyundai, Limerick Road, Mallow.

You will carry out work to the Flat Rate Manual, attend internal training, keep the workshop tidy, and develop skills in repair, service and vehicle knowledge. A full, clean driving licence is required and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a similar role.
• Currently working towards becoming a qualified automotive technician.
• Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
• Full, clean driving licence.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out work competently within the times laid down or as directed by management.
• Ensure times are recorded as requested by management.
• Attend internal and external training courses as directed by management.
• Keep the place of work tidy and in a clean condition.
• Advise the Workshop Foreman or Service Adviser of any additional work during a service.
• Ensure warranty claim parts are retained, cleaned and drained as necessary.
• Return exchange parts to Parts Department when required.
• Be prepared to work overtime with reasonable notice.
• Handle vehicles carefully and maintain the vehicle's condition on premises.
• Maintain and develop skill levels in repair, service and maintenance of vehicles.
• Utilise tools, service test equipment and training to improve service levels.
