Job summary

Aerial Platform Hire, part of The Briggs Equipment Group, invites applications for an Apprentice Fitter in County Kildare. You will work with an Engineering Mentor on maintenance, servicing and repair of equipment while progressing through Solas training.

This four-year fixed-term apprenticeship values eagerness to learn, good problem-solving and reliable work practices. Candidates must be aged 16+ with five Junior Cycle Grade D passes; those meeting additional criteria may be considered.

Qualifications

• To be eligible for this apprenticeship, candidates will typically be aged 16 or over and have achieved a minimum of Grade D in five Junior Cycle subjects.
• Those aged 18+ with three years' relevant work experience and pass an assessment interview may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Working alongside an Engineering Mentor to carry out maintenance, servicing, and repair of equipment.
• Completing all training related documents and assignments on time and to the required standard.
• Attending all of the job phases as required by the training provider (Solas).
• Providing info of specific jobs required to fulfil your qualification to your Mentor.
• Ensuring successful completion of your apprenticeship by meeting performance targets.
• Keeping up to date records of daily activities in the form of a diary.
• Following all reasonable and lawful instructions including those relating to Health and Safety
