What will you be doing as an Apprentice Fitter:
- Working alongside an Engineering Mentor to carry out maintenance, servicing, and repair of equipment.
- Completing all training related documents and assignments on time and to the required standard.
- Attending all of the job phases as required by the training provider (Solas).
- Providing info of specific jobs required to fulfil your qualification to your Mentor.
- Ensuring successful completion of your apprenticeship by meeting performance targets.
- Keeping up to date records of daily activities in the form of a diary.
- Projecting a good image by wearing the company uniform at all times whilst on duty including college and training course.
- Following all reasonable and lawful instructions including those relating to Health and Safety

- A positive attitude towards learning and all work-related activities.
- Good work practices, including timekeeping, tidiness, responsibility, quality, and safety awareness.
- To be eligible for this apprenticeship, candidates will typically be aged 16 or over and have achieved a minimum of Grade D in five Junior Cycle subjects (or an equivalent qualification).
- Candidates who do not meet the standard academic entry requirements may still be considered if they have completed an approved preparatory programme and assessment interview, or are aged 18+ with a minimum of three years' relevant work experience and successfully pass an assessment interview.
