Job summary

Suir Engineering Ltd. is hiring Apprentice Electricians for an EP&R Project in Edenderry, Co. Offaly. The role includes hands-on assembly, installation, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems, with opportunities for international assignments on European projects.

Induction is required at our Training Centre in City West, Dublin. The program offers progression through the apprenticeship with competitive pay and benefits as described.

Qualifications

• Minimum O5 in Leaving Cert Maths.
• Up-to-date Safe Pass and Manual Handling Certifications.
• Interest in Electrical systems.
• Enthusiastic team player with a positive attitude.
• Good work ethic and solutions focused.
• Adherence to all safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus and fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment to locate the cause of a breakdown and fix it.
• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards and ensure compliance with codes.
• Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits to ensure safety and compatibility.

Suir Engineering are currently looking to hire a number of Apprentices Electricians for an EP&R Project in Edenderry, Offaly.

What you will be doing?

• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes
• Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.

Rates of Pay

• 1st Year €9.47
• 2nd Year €12.18
• 3rd Year €17.59
• 4th Year €21.65

Lodge €181.68 if applicable to the project you are working on.

Suir Engineering Apprentice Induction

Prior to an Apprentice starting on site with Suir Engineering you are required to complete a 4 day induction in our Training Centre in City West, Co. Dublin.
